This price comparison sheet was done in a way that highlights our toughest competition by looking at Walmart as the source and using our normal small store pricing for Country Save as the competitive entity. Let me put it this way....you CANNOT tell a book by it's cover when it comes to the wash declaration on the nation's largest detergent brands!
Country Save Powdered Laundry Detergent declares 40 top loads on our 5lb/80oz box. There are 40 full scoops of detergent in our 40 wash box because we know that everyone wants to use a full scoop if it is the right amount! We have a 1/2 scoop mark to use for front load machines and that is shown on the box!
We also declare 80 "HE" loads in our 5lb/80oz because your HE washer uses only 1/2 as much water as the top loader! Look on our box and see the simple directions!
Real Cost Per Wash is what you get when you use a product like Country Save Powdered Detergent and actually get 40 scoops from a 40 wash load declaration on the box... without all the fillers, optical brighteners and stuff that clogs up septic tanks in the country.

The data above came directly from the Walmart retail floor of the Arlington, WA store.
All brands above were actually purchased on Feb 14, 2012 and brought to our lab for
analysis. The actual scoop count on this sheet represents the actual box being opened
and measuring the number of level scoops in each box. The retail prices are Walmart prices.
The most blatant misrepresentation to the consumer is the Arm & Hammer product. The
declaration is 100 loads. There are 17 level scoops in the box. The only way to get 100 loads
is to put 1/8" of detergent in the large scoop and no normal person would do that.
All of the other examples are what we expected including those for Country Save. Please
note that we are the only detergent on the shelf with a scoop that honestly represents
what the box indicates on the front. There are no others including the #1 brand that do that.
